    Growing Your Writing Muscles in Second Half of 2025

    This is not a repeat of the February workshop. This time we will build on the basics and encourage one another to persevere and branch out our writing in the second half of 2025. We will be “looking backwards and forwards,” featuring insights from College Church writers and selections from a message for writers from Joe Bayly circa 1975. You’ll be surprised by the differences and similarities as we listen to highlights from this 50-year-old message from an influential College Church writer/editor/publisher.

    Join the adventure as the Crew casts off and we say goodbye to summer. Kids will learn not to worry because God keeps His promises.  Then, enjoy one last hurrah with the Crew, a large inflatable and a dunk tank. Kids will not be getting wet.

    July 22 at either 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. (Both times will be the same.)

    Children must be entering 1st-5th grade in the fall.

    We hope you’ll join us as we spend the summer in fellowship together and learn new things, whether that is a new game, like Bunco, or a new skill, like breadmaking. Registration requested so we can plan accordingly.

    We had so much fun playing Bunco earlier this summer, we decided to do it again! Pairs rotate as the night goes on so while we do encourage you to bring a friend, there is no need to come with a partner.

    We kick off our season on Sept 7. We encourage you to register your child as soon as possible. All children, grades 1-6*, are invited to join Children's Choirs – the more, the merrier! Song is used to teach important academic information, such as the ABCs and the Preamble to the Constitution. What better way to impress God’s Word deep into our children’s hearts than through songs and hymns each week. In addition, the choirs participate in some worship services, a Christmas program, and a spring concert or musical.

We combine table discussion and expository teaching to deepen our understanding of Scripture and our relationship with God.     The annual Run for the STARS 5K race/walk is a time when our community comes together to celebrate the STARS, affirm their value and remind them that they belong. Invite your friends and family to join you as we run to raise funds to give STARS the opportunity to attend Christian camps with their families, take part in the STARS fall retreat and receive job coaching through STARS Family Services as they work in resale shops.
